Builder's Continuing Competency

This is the state-required program you need to fulfill your residential builder's continuing competency each license cycle. (If you hold a Michigan residential builder license, you need this class.)

Course Description

Builder’s Continuing Competency:

3 statutory hours
Fee: $50-$69 (varies by location)
Description:

This class contains three value-packed hours of instruction for each of the following topics: Law (what is new and what a builder needs to know to stay out of trouble); Codes (learn the latest updates to the Michigan Residential Code); and Safety (learn about the newest fall protection requirements imposed by MIOSHA). This class is required for anyone with a builder’s or maintenance & alternation contractor’s license to renew it. A certificate of completion is issued at the end of the 3-hour program.
